IWFCI India in association with Pillai College launched the fourth edition of the Global Trade Certificate program on 6th October, 2025, at Dr. K. M. Vasudevan Pillai Campus. 58 students registered for the programme which was conducted form from 6th October to 16th October 2025. The program was spearheaded by Dr. R. Chandran (Director, PiMSR) and Dr. Celina Joy (Faculty, PiMSR & Director of IWFCI India) and Prof. Kiran Deshmukh (PCACS), ensuring smooth execution of sessions, faculty coordination, and mentoring of participants throughout the course. This 30-hour program provided the participants with a comprehensive understanding of global trade with a focus on Indian and Australian perspectives. By combining expert-led modules with real-world industry experiences, the program prepared students for future careers in global commerce.
The collaboration between IWFCI India, IWFCI Global, and Pillai Institute reinforced the commitment to providing quality education and industry-oriented training to aspiring entrepreneurs and trade professionals. A unique strength of the program was its blend of theory and practice. A visit to the Mumbai Port Trust was organized, where students observed cargo movement, container operations, and logistics processes. This field experience enriched classroom learning and gave students an authentic glimpse into global trade operations. An important milestone for this program has been its recognition through official copyright registration for the academic work “Global Trade: Indian and Australian Perspectives” (Diary No. 1966/2024-CO/L, dated 17th January 2024). This registration, under the authorship of Dr. Daphne Pillai (IWFCI India & Australia), reinforces the originality, authenticity, and academic value of the course content. It also ensures that the program stands as a unique intellectual property contribution in the domain of global trade education. The Certification Program ‘Global Trade- Indian and Australian Perspectives’ concluded with a felicitation and Prize distribution ceremony where certificates were distributed to the participants.
