The Convocation Ceremony of the Certificate Course titled “Global Trade Nexus: Insights into Trade Practices Across Nations” conducted by IWFCI India National Chapter in collaboration with Pillai Institute of Management Studies and Research was conducted on Tuesday, 6th August 2024 in a hybrid mode at ABSA, Sandton, Johannesburg, South Africa. The event was attended by 30 members from South Africa in person and 27 guests who joined online.
The programme began with the opening remarks by Ms. Vino Pillay, President of IWFCI South Africa. This was followed by an address by Dr. Daphne Pillai Founder President of IWFCI India who spoke about the mission and vision of the IWFCI India chapter. Dr. Daphne Pillai’s address was followed by speeches by Dr. R Chandran, Director – Pillai Institute of Management Studies and Research, Ms. Keridyn Heatlie, Executive Director – SA Chamber of Commerce Singapore and Ms. Tskani Mpofu, Founder – Fixing each other’s crown.
Seventeen small scale entrepreneurs who had successfully completed the certificate course received their certificates at the hands of Ms. Tshepo Ncube, Managing Director ABSA and Ms. Theresa Moller, CEO, B – Direct Solutions. In her vote of thanks, Ms. Vino Pillay, Founder President- IWFCI South Africa thanked the organisers, IWFCI India, Pillai Institute and the participants for the successful completion of the course. This was followed by the closing remarks delivered by Dr. Celina Joy, Course Co-ordinator of the Certificate Course.
The Certificate Course titled “Global Trade Nexus: Insights into Trade Practices across Nations” launched on 16th March, 2024 was designed for entrepreneurs who were going to be a part of the Trade Mission to Singapore and Australia. Participants gained insights into the business landscapes of these two countries and create effective plans for successful international business ventures.
