The 3rd edition of the Global Trade Certificate Program, a copyrighted initiative of IWFCI India and IWFCI Australia, took place from October 14th to 24th, 2024. The program was a resounding success, featuring engaging classroom sessions, as well as enlightening visits to the ‘Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority’ and the ‘Shiv Samarth Smarak’ museum. The port visit provided meaningful insights to trade operations and logistics and the museum visit provided a unique historical perspective on the pivotal role of Shivaji Maharaj in shaping India’s maritime trade and modern ports. 45 students completed this unique program and will be awarded certificates soon.

The Global Trade Certificate program was conceived under the visionary guidance of our Global Chair, Ms. Diana Abruzzi. This initiative aimed to empower girls with entrepreneurship opportunities, equipping them with the skills and knowledge necessary to become export-ready and thrive in the global marketplace. The program was coordinated by Dr. R. Chandran and Dr. Celina Joy from Pillai Institute of Management Studies and Research and Dr. Kiran Deshmukh of Pillai College of Arts, Science and Commerce.
